About Me

I'm a mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly. More about me.

She's a Toot!

May 6, 2013

Marlo has been taking a Mom and Tots swim class on Monday mornings.   She loves to sing the songs, and does really well kicking her feet to "swim" to Mommy.  Going places is on the top of her favorites list.  She lives for it, so we try to "go" somewhere with her as much as possible.  This becomes a little difficult for me, since I've been put on bedrest.  Managing swim lessons is easy since there is no pressure on me when I'm in the water, it's been fun for us both.  I've been very proud of her accomplishments in such a short time in the pool.  So fun!

This morning after her lessons, we bounced out to the car, and she climbed in as soon as the door opened, and hopped into the seat beside her car seat.  I tried to reason with her that she was too little to sit in that seat and did my best to coax her to her car seat.

Emphatically, she said, "No."

Nice....

That was when she decided to climb to the back seat of the car and taunt me a second time, knowing full well, I could not get to her.  She sat grinning at me as she nestled into to her new spot.

So, I did what any very pregnant and uncomfortable mother would do:

I waited patiently for her to have her fun with me, until she decided to climb up into her car seat, which she happily did on her own, without any nagging after about 5 minutes of playing in the other seats of the car.

What am I going to do with her?  She really is a little toot.  She likes it too!

We are in trouble!  :)
