Back in 2007 as we were preparing for a new adventure, we purchased our first home in the states, after being out of the country for a time. I stayed behind as J left to start his new job, packed us up and moved us out, as he searched for our new home.
It was the morning of our anniversary, as I was pulling out of town, greeted with 3 feet of freshly fallen snow that we had our offer accepted on our first house! We were going from a frozen tundra 9 months out of the year, to a hot humidity with creepy crawlers all around. What a change! It was the best time of our lives with 3 elementary aged children and a fabulous house with a pool. Pretty great!
2 years later, we were on the road again to another new venture from the south to the west. We were selling one house, and buying another. Again I was left to deal with the sale of one house, packing and making arrangements while the big guy of the house handled finding our next perfect place to call home. The same week of our anniversary we made an offer on one house, and sold the other. Off we went!
3 years later, (yes, hubbers job moves us a lot.) Back from the west to the south, we found renters for the home we were leaving, found a home that we could rent for a time while we decided if we wanted to purchase again...after 18 months in a rental, the inevitable happened, rent was raised and it forced our hand...This time, I picked the house, made the offer the first day it was on the market, and ended up bidding against someone else for the same house. Same story, as we are out celebrating our anniversary, we got the call our offer was accepted.
Still owning the home in the west, in hopes the economy there would rebound, we finally felt comfortable listing the house, and guess what...We accepted an offer on what day?? Our anniversary, yesterday! Woot! Now if I just would have put all of this together, I may have figured out that listing the house we are currently in, and ready to sell for another great adventure should have been done already, so I could have accepted yet another offer on our wonderful anniversary.
Strange! Cool! Weird!
Now to get this house ready! Of course, the wonderful hubster is no where to found this move either. It's always the big ones and he's off in another world, finding us a new home to live in, and just happened to let them know we wanted the new place....YESTERDAY, our anniversary. Hah!
