We are home from D.C.
What a great, tiring, fun, trip. :) We had a good time, but the days were very full, leaving us little time to do some of things we would have liked to have time for.
It was all conferences, dinners, luncheons, and breakfast, amongst other things. It was interesting getting to learn more about the leaders of this nation in a light I hadn't looked at them with before.
We needed about another week there to be able to see some of the sights, and museums, (that are free to the public!) but managed somehow to sneak (Thanks to Congressman Burgess great staff for this!) in a trip to tour the White House, and the Capitol building. It (The Capitol) was far more impressive and full of history than I could have imagined. It was cold and drizzly, which was a little too much for my acclimation to southern winter warmth. Brr!
Unfortunately, since we were on foot, and there was a strict no photography rule for the White House we didn't get any pictures of the Capitol, besides cell phone quality. Ah well, ya win some, you lose some.
The only shots we have are a couple from our last night, before the closing dinner. Here is a sneak peak of some belly shots...
I know, I've been holding out on you all on this :)

It was nice to get away. Thank you, Nana (As Marlo calls her) for staying with the kidlets. It was much more enjoyable knowing you were there.
