Our son turned 15 yesterday!
In honor of the occasion, I made him this delicious cake. I'm certain it was the best cake I have ever made, and possibly the best cake I have ever eaten. Yum! It was my first attempt at White Chocolate Buttercream Frosting. It was a success! The raspberry filling and white cake was delicious with the frosting.
Marlo turned 10 months the day before Phil's birthday. She weighs 15lbs .05oz and is 26.5 inches long. The doctor said she is little, but growing so they are happy with her.
She can sit up on her own. She eats everything we give her, happily. Last nights new taste was lasagna! Yum. She is using her pincher fingers to pick up puffs, although she hasn't yet mastered letting them go, so she just sucks on them. :) She tries to pull herself into a sitting position if she is laying on her back. She blows raspberries, and makes a popping sound with her mouth, laughs and jumps up and down and just makes the whole house a happier place to be.
She doesn't sleep through the night, and last night was up for 2 bottles...Ugh. She also wanted her pacifier throughout the night. Most nights she is up just once. She also does not nap. This makes it tough to get anything done, since she wants Mommy, All. Day. Long.
She has been so much fun for us all. When the kids get up in the morning they come to find her to get some smiles.
I sure love my kids. Happy Birthday, Philip and Marlo. :)
mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly.
