About Me

I'm a mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly. More about me.

Beautiful Alli

Jul 31, 2011

After the whirlwind of the last 4 months, there have been other things going on behind the scenes that bring smiles to our faces.  This is one of those times!  It was just days after we had found out the devastating news that we lost our little Claire, that I was able to focus on a time that was special for my daughter, and for me as well.  It was a wonderful distraction from all that was going on.

So, we did what all teenage girls love to do.  We went shopping, for this dress, and got this girl all gussied up for a fun night out with her friends from school.  They had a murder mystery dinner party, that was in the setting of a masquerade type ball.  :)  She had so much fun.

I was a super shopper, as per usual and scored this dress for the cheap price of $75!  She had a couple of dresses from my sister, but they just weren't quite the right size, and not enough time to have them sized to her, considering all that was going on with me.

She asked me to do her hair and makeup.  I jumped all over that opportunity, and this was the finished product.  I don't mean to brag, but, after seeing the other girls, who were all very pretty....Allison blew them all out of the water.  She was stunning!

Not only is she beautiful, but she is such a lovely girl inside and out.  She is a blessing to me, and I am so thankful for her.  A good distraction from such a hard week, and a new picture perfect memory.
