About Me

I'm a mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly. More about me.

A Good Day

May 5, 2011

The day is ending on a good note.  The past several days, I haven't felt the best, and was laying completely flat, feet higher than my head.  Yesterday they lifted the feet above the head restriction, but headaches of gargantuan proportion have left me feeling crummy....well that and all the meds they have been pumping into me.

So, this evening, after getting over a super headache, I feel like a new woman.  Not yet a 100%, but so much better.  The baby has been more calm today, after days of being hyper active. (I am guessing from the meds)

Hospital food leaves much to be desired.  Interesting things they are bringing me!  :)

I've graduated from the catheter.  Sweet freedom!  Don't get too excited, I just graduated to a bedside commode...I won't complain, it's a million times better than a bed pan.

Most importantly though, my little one is still growing inside of me for another very important day.  We are not out of the woods yet, and won't be for a long time, but we are so thankful to have made it to this point.  Everyday is a huge victory.  We are doing everything possible to keep her happy and healthy, and kicking away in my belly.  Making it to Monday would be a big deal, not just big....HUGE!

In just one week, we have improved the chances of survival by 30%!  Can you believe that?  I have been here 10 days, and while it hasn't been easy, and we have faced heartbreak, we are thankful to be right where we are.  Each day is a gift, and I am so thankful for all the prayers being said for us.

Hoping tomorrow brings more good news.  Thank you all for praying, the outlook is better with each new sunrise.  Thanking God for another day.
