Kickin Back

It has been a lovely week of relaxing.  We've been kicking back to cool temperatures and a cozy cabin up at the lake all week. 

We really needed to get away.  This past year took it's toll, and then add in the bad news from the past couple weeks...Well it was just time to check out. 

I am finding myself not wanting to go back to reality.  A week of vegging out, and laughing with my family with no worries of school or work has been exactly what we needed.  All of us.  Even the dog has acted different this week, as he has happily strutted around here with extra bounce in his step.  :)  Fun times. 

At the moment, my boys are playing pool, Alli is reading on the couch, and of course my Miss Em is out exploring the forest, getting dirty no doubt.  After the Bacon Maple Donuts the kids devoured this morning, I'd say we are ending our vacation on a perfectly happy note.
