About Me

I'm a mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly. More about me.

A Good Christmas

Dec 27, 2010

My kids are sleepers....in the morning.  We have 3 night owls, and every Christmas since I can remember they have always slept in.  They go to bed super excited and tell us every year that they will be up early, but, once again they weren't up before 9:30  :)

I love being up with breakfast cooking when they decide to grace us with their bright, shiny smiles Christmas morning.  They haven't lost the joy as they've grown older.  I love it!

Stockings are all of our favorites, and they are always spilling over onto the floor with all the goodies we could find.

We begin the festivities the evening before by having an abundance of finger foods, full of fun and calories, and top the night off by opening one gift.  It's the same thing every year...cozy pajamas, and it's one of our favorite traditions.

This year, Jake opened the first gift of the morning.  This isn't the norm, but I bought him a new lens for our camera, and I wanted him to use it!  :)  So, here are a few of our savored moments from Christmas morning.

Phil on the phone with G-parents who were shocked we hadn't started opening gifts at 10 am  :)
Good morning, Beka smile
Stocking Business
My hunk of burning love
More Christmas morning smiles
Beka got an apron

And she loved it!!!

One of Phil's gifts, wrapped in a girl store box.  :)
A purty hat, from my honey
The girls got some too!
That was just a little taste of our lovely morning.  I hope you all have a wonderful day as well.  :)
