About Me

I'm a mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly. More about me.

Glasses

Dec 2, 2010

We took the kids to have their eyes checked tonight.  There were really no reasons why, other than it had been awhile since we had checked them, years ago.

I was most concerned for the girls.  They get headaches often.  Mostly light induced, migraines for Alli, and light induced non-migraines for Emma.

Anyway, surprise, surprise...Philips eyes were the worst.  They are not bad by any means.  All the kids are far sighted.  They all have 20/20 vision.  They do need reading glasses though.  Philip as I said, needed them the most.  It really shocked me, and him.  He was a bit of a pain in the neck about it...not wanting to pick out frames.  :)  Such a guy.  I tried to tell him he only has to wear them when he is studying or reading, and then at night when he starts driving...in 2 years.  Allison only needs them when doing the same things as well.  Emma's aren't bad enough to need anything at all.  So overall good news.  They are taking after their Mama.  :)  I am far sighted, and only need glasses for reading.

Next up, dentist appointments for the entire lot of us.  :)  That and the orthodontist that we seem to frequent.

Thankful for great insurance!
