About Me

I'm a mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly. More about me.

A few days at the Bay

Nov 9, 2010

We just had the best weekend!  California has some very beautiful scenery, it was a pleasant surprise to set our eyes on.

Monterey, is gorgeous.  It was all my favorites mixed into one lovely dream, only it wasn't a dream it was reality. The weather was pretty much perfect, after coming from the hot desert like heat we were enduring over the past week.  It was overcast, cool and misty at times.  Sunday we got a little rain, and some fog set in over the bay.  The sampled the tastes on the wharf...it was one little cup of clam chowder after another as the local restaurants tried to entice us with their version of this seaside staple.

We laughed as we watched the harbor seals play and swim around looking for their next meals.  I also recommend the aquarium, it is magnificent.  They have the best display of jelly fish and seahorses I have ever seen.  I wanted to bring home some Leafy Sea Dragons, they are amazing.

Leafy Sea Dragon..but this picture doesn't do it justice.

So that is just a little bit of what we saw over the weekend.  It was fun!  We met a bunch of great people as well, it was hard to leave and come back home to reality.  Reality is busy, and eventful lately.  Wish we could have had a chance to stay longer and see more of the sights to be seen.  I know we missed a bunch of neat things, so maybe next time.  Busy days ahead...Tis the season!
