About Me

I'm a mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly. More about me.

Crocodile Tears

Nov 2, 2010

Last night we broke the sad news to sweet Emma that her pet hamster, Charlie, had passed away.

What a heartbreaking moment.  And after such a rough year of loss, she broke down.  Of course my heart broke, and we both shed some tears for our little furry friend.

I am thankful for Jake going to check on her when I thought something didn't look right...It would have been really hard for Emma to have found her that way.  He took care of things before he and Phil headed out for their fun night at a NBA basketball game.  In an attempt to cheer the girls up, we went out for dinner.  It's fun sometimes to just have a girls night.  I think we all came home feeling a little better about our sad night....at least I hope so.

Emma decided she wants to bury little Charlie...so I suppose we will all say goodbye to that little escape artist, that lived a very long and full life of adventure.  She made us laugh...some good funny times with her.

On another note...

I voted today.  How bout you?   I was a little disappointed that they weren't checking identification.  I think it's needed, especially in an area like this.  Thought that was interesting.
