5 MONTHS OLD!!!

November 21, 2013, 5 Months Old

I'm finding it incredibly hard to believe, this little boy is already 5 months old!  The days and weeks are flashing before our eyes like the never have before. 

We continue to find joy and renewed hope and healing through the little gift he and Marlo both are to us.  What a beautiful reminder they've been of hope and love.  My heart cannot express how grateful we all are for these two little treasures.  :) 

Ash has far surpassed his brother and sisters in his growth and abilities.  At this age, our other kids were no where near the size of this big guy.  He seriously has rolls in more places than I thought possible, and is super happy all the time. 

As of this morning he weighed 16lbs 8oz.  That is 2lbs larger than he was at his 4 month check up, just a month ago!  I will have to check his length and compare, but last month he was 25.25 inches.  Just to put this into perspective, Allison weighed 18lbs when she was 15 months old.  This rolly polly guy is almost there, 10 months sooner than his big sister!  He loves to jump in his jumperoo, and is trying to figure out how to crawl.  He scoots all over.  It probably won't be long and he will be sitting up on his own as well. 

Last night, on his daddy's birthday he got his first taste of mashed potatoes.  He seemed to like that quite a bit. 

We are having a good time with him!  What a cuddly little blessing he is!  :)
