About Me

I'm a mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly. More about me.

Week 37

Jun 16, 2013

FULL TERM BABY!!

Well, we made it all the way to full term.

At week 30, I was admitted to the hospital with worry that I was in labor.  I was contracting like a mad woman, and had started spotting... the Hospital staff were pretty concerned, and so were we.

I was given shots of steroids to mature the little guys lungs in the even that he was going to make an early appearance, along with meds to control contractions.  Then, it all stopped!  Hallelujah, what sweet relief!

I spent a good majority of the entire second trimester on some sort of modified bedrest, and had prescription meds on hand, in case things started to get out of hand.

Alas, here we are at week 37, with no sign of this sweet little babe.  He is fighting for room, and seems happily content to stay right where he is.

A little stinker already!  We look forward to meeting him, but are so grateful he has remained in the safety of his warm womb for so long.

Won't be long now.

Wonder what Marlo is going to think....  ;)
