About Me

I'm a mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly. More about me.

Things That Go Boom

Mar 21, 2013

The last couple of weeks, since Marlo had been sick, have had me up numerous times throughout the nights.

It's been miserable!  She is feeling better, thankfully, but still has been waking up at about the same time every night, screaming her little cute head off!

Last night was no different, at 2:45am the screaming began.  I rolled out of bed in a fog, and looked for her cup in the kitchen, in case she needed a drink, and that's when it happened.

It sounded like someone dropped a bowling ball on top of our house.  Holy smokes!  It was Marlo!

I've never moved so quickly in the wee hours of the morning while carrying around this extra big belly.  Running up the stairs without falling is no easy feat in the dark, and in my condition, but I was like lightening and got to her fast.

When I turned on the light, my heart broke to see my little girl lying flat on her back in the middle of the room, crying.  It was the saddest thing I have ever seen.  My heart was racing as I picked her up in a panic, worrying that she had seriously hurt herself.  Thankfully to my surprise, she was fine, just a little shaken up from her fall.

Mama however, is not fine, and is worried about it happening again.  Hoping she scared herself enough to not do that again!

I think my heart was beating so loud it could have woke the neighbors, but somehow through all the commotion, not one other sleeping beauty in my home stirred after the ruckus.

Go Figure!!???
