About Me

I'm a mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly. More about me.

National Prayer Breakfast 2013

Jan 24, 2013

We've been invited!

This will be my first trip to D.C.  We are looking forward to our trip and are still a little shocked about the invite.

How often do we get the opportunity to pray for our leaders and country right where they are.  Lord knows it's needed.  More than ever we live in a time where God is being pushed out and hatred is more and more accepted.  We live in a harsh time of innocent people losing their lives,  jobs lost, families hurting, so many struggling just to make ends meet.  Times are tough.

It's during these times I realize we've got to change our focus.  If we continue to forget that we can't do all of this living on our own, and we continue to push God out of our lives, we will never be free, never be able to truly live as though we were meant to live.

There isn't a single law that will save us.  Not one.  We can't continue to put our hope in man and expect a different result.  We will get the same thing, every time.

What an amazing opportunity to pray over our leaders and our country.  I know one day and one event won't make a huge difference, but it did remind me to be praying more for our leaders.  Whether we agree with the direction they are going or not, they still need guidance and direction...

This world needs a Savior, and it's not the president, or any of the leaders around him.  God and God alone will be where we ask him to be.

I hope for hearts to be changed, and lives to be touched.
