Those were the words that came from Jake's mouth today, after a mysterious sound came from our tiny little one.
Our nurses response was this: "That was a fart!" Haha, I just love our nurse. :) All I could do was sit there and giggle as my tiny one squirmed around on my chest and continued to pass more and more gas, creating a continued look of amazement on her Daddy's face.
Now let me just say, it was astonishing, as it was extremely loud. How could such a LOUD noise come from such a wee little thing? Apparently it doesn't matter how small one is, we all make the same noises. LOL!
I thought she was uncomfortable and it quickly became obvious why she just wouldn't hold still. Miss Marlo had a bit of a tummy ache. About 2 hours in to holding her, I checked her diaper to find a mess... And a GINORMOUS BLOW OUT!!! Another first for her, and for me as I was wearing it. I'm sure it won't be the last time either. :) Holy Cow that kid can make a mess. How could such a HUGE MESS come out of such a wee little thing? This one has me baffled! She sure settled down after she took care of that business.
Today went more smoothly than the past two days. She seems to be more stable after getting a lot of the fluids out from the Lasix they gave her yesterday. There were fewer ups and downs on her oxygen levels. I was so thankful for that.
She had a sibling visit today, and a special guest arrived last night and was able to meet her this morning as well. Grandma Dana was amazed by our Tiny but Mighty Marlo. It was a good day.

mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly.
