About Me

I'm a mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly. More about me.

Quick Update

May 12, 2011

With all that's going on, I am finding it hard to do updates.  But, I wanted to give a quick little one, and ask you all to keep praying for us and for our sweet little one.

She is fighting infection, a possible PDA (open duct between heart and lungs), and many other unknowns at this time.  Yesterday she had a blood transfusion, and seemed to feel a little better when they were done with that.  It's all up and down with a preemie of this age.  It's scary, and I find myself in tears when I think about the battle she faces.  They are doing everything they can to keep the infection from taking over, please pray that we are able to beat this, and every other mountain that comes our way...mostly her way.

We are hoping she is off her bili lights today.  That would mean we get to see her sweet face, and little eyes open.  By the way, we've got our first little blondie.  :)  Blond eyebrows, and fine blond hair on her cute little head.

The kids are going to be able to visit her today.  Please pray for them as they see first hand how small and fragile she is.  I pray today is a good day, and she gets all the strength she needs to continue to fight all that comes her way.

She is having a heart echo today to look at that PDA.  Tomorrow an ultrasound of her head.  Good news, we need good news.  Will update again when we can.

Thank you friends for your prayers.
