About Me

I'm a mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly. More about me.

Fruits, Veggies and Melons!

Mar 20, 2011

Every Sunday, I get an email with an update on how the baby is changing in the upcoming week. Sometimes the updates show a multitude of changes happening and other weeks things are very calm with little going on.

With every one of these emails though, there is one thing they have in common. The baby's size is compared to some sort of fruit, vegetable or melon. It will show an actual dimension along with the comparison along with it.

This week, I am lugging around two cantaloupes. This one cracked me up. :) What started as the size of a poppy seed and grew to an avocado, and sweet potato is now a sweet cantaloupe. As I get these updates and read them to J, he always, without fail, asks me "what does that mean"? This week it means, I have two 7 inch, (Note that this does not include the length of their legs) 11oz babies inside of me.

That's what is up with me this week, growing two cantaloupes, that kick! Fun stuff!
