While the rest of the country deals with ice, snow and power outages, Southern Cali couldn't be left with nothing exciting going on. So, last night around 11pm the winds picked up...and they picked up our house along with it! Well that is a bit of an exaggeration, but it really did feel like that was happening.
It was loud like a freight train, whistling through our french door in our bedroom. As the trees battered our house, I wondered how it could be possible that every time this starts, we happen to be in bed trying to sleep through a noise and force that cannot be muffled. Tis the season for these winds. After experiencing 2 hurricanes, I would compare the force of some of the winds to that, and with sounds that are compared to a tornado....(I can't imagine what a real one would really feel like), we had our own of sorts.
Many friends and family are dealing with icy messes and cold homes, and I pray that they all stay safe and warm, out of harms way. Thinking of you all this morning as this screeching wind reminds me, I don't want to be a part of that mess out east. Love you all, stay safe! :)
Let me know how it's going!

mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly.
