About Me

I'm a mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly. More about me.

Thumpity, Thump, Thump

Jan 27, 2011

We spent the evening testing out our new fetal doppler.  It's a little hand held device that allows you to listen to the babies heart beats and gives the rate at which they are beating.

The heart beats change, but are ranging between 152-169.  What a beautiful sound!  It's fun to have a way to hear the life inside of me in between appointments.

We get to see them in the morning.  I can't wait.  They are going to look so different from 2 weeks ago.  The changes are astounding during the first 20 weeks, but especially so in the first 12 weeks.

Just a little tid bit of information.  The babies will each quadruple their weight in the 4th month alone!  Isn't that crazy?  They already have finger prints, can suck their thumbs, get hiccups, and have every organ and working body part that you and I have.  The next phase of their development is growth...and lots of it!

Looking forward to tomorrow.  Jake will get his mouth checked out tomorrow afternoon as well.  The healing for him has been slow, and a little tougher than expected.  Please keep us all in your prayers.

Hoping to have a good picture to post tomorrow!
