About Me

I'm a mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly. More about me.

A little lovin from my Oven

Oct 2, 2010

Ever had a craving for a dump of deliciousness in a bowl, or a delightful cup of salty sweetness that makes your belly say: "Uh Huh!"

Well, I had both cravings in one day, and I indulged both in the same day.

One of my favorite things that Starbucks brought out a couple years ago was the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate.  To my disappointment they didn't bring it back last year, or this year for that matter.  To my surprise though, the cafe in Barnes and Noble which serves Starbucks is offering this yummy cup of goodness.  So, as the kids were in classes yesterday, I sat myself down with a book and this beautiful combination of sweet and salty cocoa.  Definitely one of my favorite things.

As a night cap, the delicious smells of a cake that has the word dump in it filled my house with a beautiful aroma that has long lingered into the morning.  How can something so easy be soooo good!  We shared bowls of this crazy concoction of Dump Cake with some friends last night as our kids watched an outdoor movie in our park right outside our front door.

Jakes B-fast this morning :)

It was a delightful evening, and our tummies were happily full of things that remind me of fall.

No doubt about it, my favorite time of year.
