Milestones

One a freshman in high school, one in his final year of middle school, and one in her final year of elementary.

How did we get here so fast?

It was yesterday they were still sitting on my lap giving slobber kisses and bear hugs. Today it's hey mom, I need this or that, and can you take me here...right now?

Another milestone in our life that came at the speed of light and puts us in a new phase, that yesterday I wasn't ready for. Come to think of it, today I am not either. This just means we are that much closer to graduation and college; That much closer to their leaving home.

While I am glad for these days I have with them, I find myself in awe of how short the days really are. In the mean time though, I am ready to face what is ahead and look forward to the time we have right now.

I have some pretty awesome kids. I am blessed.
