About Me

I'm a mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly. More about me.

Once upon a time

Jun 12, 2010

Herbie the Shih Tzu rules over the household of this beautiful house.

He lives in a fairytale, and he is the King of his castle.

He was having the best day, sitting on the balcony off the master bedroom, scoping out the sights to be seen, admiring his stomping grounds.
That was until out of the blue, the door was shut and locked behind him.  Oh dear he thought, maybe I should bark it up a bit and wake the neighborhood.  So that is what he did, hoping beyond all hopes that someone would open the door and let him in.  Even the neighbors knocked on the door and couldn't get those owners of his to open the door.  Barking plan foiled!

No luck, how could they have forgotten the King of the castle was on the balcony with no room to move and no where to go.

Okay, so my dear hubby locked the dog on the balcony when we went to Newport Beach yesterday.  He didn't greet us at the back door when we got back, and I thought someone had taken him from our home.  Until I walked into my room looking for him, and heard him barking out on the little platform we call a balcony.  You can see in the picture up above how small it is.  Oh, was he ever happy to see us when we opened the door.  :)  Poor puppy!  We are so thankful it wasn't a hot day, and he was safe.

I wonder if we are going to get any hate mail from our neighbors?

He had all the dogs in the hood barking along with him.  That was a big oops, guaranteed not to happen again.  Haha!
