About Me

I'm a mommy blogger. As a mother that has suffered the loss of multiple children while becoming a mother of the bride to our oldest, raising 2 young adults, an 8 year old preemie and a 6 year old tornado, I have a lot to share. I can't guarantee you will agree with everything I say, but I think you may just enjoy it. This is our life, the good, bad and ugly. More about me.

Hey, you over there! Why are you shaking the couch!

Apr 4, 2010

I couldn't figure out what in the world J was doing after he had just dozed off for a short little nap.  I THOUGHT he was shaking the couch by pushing his foot against the coffee table and rocking back and forth.  That is until I said, "hey why are you moving the couch?"

His response:  EARTHQUAKE!!!

Then he said, "I thought you were shaking the couch, and realized as soon as you asked me why I was shaking the couch, what it was."

It was obvious after he said it.  The whole house was swaying, and the lamps were rocking back and forth.  So weird!  I still feel a bit like I am moving.  Yuck.

My fumble fingers have struck again!  No Easter bunny cakes today, that kinda flew out the window when the cake jumped out of my hands and hit the floor, breaking into pieces.   Ugh!  Enter the 5 second rule. In record time A and I got that cake off the floor and reshaped it to it's natural state.  Well sort of.   :)  It ended up being just a round 2 layer cake, but tasted so yummy.

I am so thankful I didn't drop the chicken or the potatoes, as the cake wasn't the first thing I dropped today.

Happy Easter!
